"Kai"

"Kai" is our Border Collie, born on May 7, 2004. Every night he dreamed of herding countless sheep through endless pastures. Every day he greeted guests and passers-by with boundless enthusiasm. Above he is shown with "Marci," a young visitor to The Carriage House Bed & Breakfast.

But now Kai has finally realized his dream. In July 2010 he accepted an offer from a large Gulf Island sheep farm to occupy the position of Top Dog. Putting career before family, he made the move to Prevost Island where he excels at the craft he was born and bred for without the distraction of automobile traffic, ferries, emergency sirens, and other aspects of post modern life which annoyed and depressed him.

We visit Kai on his island paradise as often as we can and sometimes wish we could stay there with him. Go get 'em, Kai!
